ܡܘܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܚܝ ܐܘܢܓܠܝܘܢ ܕܣܒܪܬܟܘܢ ܘܩܒܠܬܘܢܝܗܝ ܘܩܡܬܘܢ ܒܗ
bh wqmthwn wqblthwnyhy dsbrthkwn 'wnglywn 'khy dyn lkwn 'n' mwde
Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand,

ܘܒܗ ܚܐܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܡܠܬܐ ܣܒܪܬܟܘܢ ܐܢ ܥܗܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܣܪܝܩܐܝܬ ܗܝܡܢܬܘܢ
hymnthwn sryq'yth hw' l' 'n 'nthwn ehdyn 'n sbrthkwn mlth' b'yd' 'nthwn kh'yn wbh
by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

ܐܫܠܡܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܐܝܟ ܡܕܡ ܕܩܒܠܬ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܡܝܬ ܥܠ ܐܦܝ ܚܛܗܝܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܟܬܝܒ
dkthyb 'ykn' khThyn 'py el myth dmshykh' dqblth mdm 'yk lwqdm mn gyr lkwn 'shlmth
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

ܘܕܐܬܩܒܪ ܘܩܡ ܠܬܠܬܐ ܝܘܡܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܟܬܝܒ
dkthyb 'yk ywmyn lthlth' wqm wd'thqbr
that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

ܘܐܬܚܙܝ ܠܟܐܦܐ ܘܒܬܪܗ ܠܬܪܥܣܪ
lthresr wbthrh lk'p' w'thkhzy
and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

ܘܒܬܪܟܢ ܐܬܚܙܝ ܠܝܬܝܪ ܡܢ ܚܡܫܡܐܐ ܐܚܝܢ ܐܟܚܕܐ ܕܣܓܝܐܐ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܗܫܐ ܘܡܢܗܘܢ ܕܡܟܘ
dmkw wmnhwn lhsh' edm' 'nwn qymyn mnhwn dsgy'' 'kkhd' 'khyn khmshm'' mn lythyr 'thkhzy wbthrkn
Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers at once, most of whom remain until now, but some have also fallen asleep.

ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܬܚܙܝ ܠܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܒܬܪܗ ܠܫܠܝܚܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ
klhwn lshlykh' wbthrh lyeqwb 'thkhzy hlyn bthr wmn
Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,

ܠܚܪܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܝܚܛܐ ܐܬܚܙܝ ܐܦ ܠܝ
ly 'p 'thkhzy dlykhT' 'yk dklhwn dyn lkhrth'
and last of all, as to the child born at the wrong time, he appeared to me also.

ܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܙܥܘܪܗܘܢ ܕܫܠܝܚܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܘܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܬܩܪܐ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܪܕܦܬ ܥܕܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ
d'lh' edthh drdpth mTl shlykh' d'thqr' 'n' shw' wl' dshlykh' zewrhwn gyr 'n' 'n'
For I am the least of the apostles, who is not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the assembly of God.

ܒܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܝܢ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܝܬܝ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܝܬܝ ܘܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܒܝ ܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܣܪܝܩܐ ܐܠܐ ܝܬܝܪ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܠܐܝܬ ܠܐ ܐܢܐ ܐܠܐ ܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܥܡܝ
demy Tybwthh 'l' 'n' l' l'yth klhwn mn ythyr 'l' sryq' hwth l' dby wTybwthh d'ythy mdm 'ythy d'lh' dyn bTybwthh
But by the grace of God I am what I am. His grace which was given to me was not futile, but I worked more than all of them; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

ܐܢ ܐܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܘܐܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܡܟܪܙܝܢܢ ܘܗܟܢܐ ܗܝܡܢܬܘܢ
hymnthwn whkn' mkrzynn hkn' hnwn w'n hkyl 'n' 'n
Whether then it is I or they, so we preach, and so you believed.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܡܬܟܪܙ ܕܩܡ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܐܝܬ ܒܟܘܢ ܐܢܫܐ ܕܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܝܬ ܚܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ
myth' khyth lyth d'mryn 'nsh' bkwn 'yth 'ykn' myth' byth mn dqm mthkrz mshykh' dyn 'n
Now if Christ is preached, that he has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

ܘܐܢ ܚܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܠܝܬ ܐܦܠܐ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܩܡ
qm mshykh' 'pl' lyth myth' khyth w'n
But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised.

ܘܐܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܐ ܩܡ ܣܪܝܩܐ ܗܝ ܟܪܘܙܘܬܢ ܣܪܝܩܐ ܐܦ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܟܘܢ
hymnwthkwn 'p sryq' krwzwthn hy sryq' qm l' mshykh' w'n
If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith also is in vain.

ܡܫܬܟܚܝܢ ܚܢܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܣܗܕܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܣܗܕܢ ܥܠ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܩܝܡ ܠܡܫܝܚܐ ܟܕ ܠܐ ܐܩܝܡ
'qym l' kd lmshykh' d'qym 'lh' el d'shdn d'lh' dgl' shd' 'p dyn khnn mshthkkhyn
Yes, we are also found false witnesses of God, because we testified about God that he raised up Christ, whom he didn’t raise up, if it is so that the dead are not raised.

ܐܢ ܡܝܬܐ ܓܝܪ ܠܐ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܐܦܠܐ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܩܡ
qm mshykh' 'pl' qymyn l' gyr myth' 'n
For if the dead aren’t raised, neither has Christ been raised.

ܘܐܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܐ ܩܡ ܒܛܠܐ ܗܝ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܟܘܢ ܘܥܕܟܝܠ ܒܚܛܗܝܟܘܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn bkhThykwn wedkyl hymnwthkwn hy bTl' qm l' mshykh' w'n
If Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins.

ܘܟܒܪ ܐܦ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܡܟܘ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܒܕܘ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn 'bdw bmshykh' ddmkw 'ylyn 'p wkbr
Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

ܘܐܢ ܒܗܠܝܢ ܗܘ ܚܝܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܡܣܒܪܝܢܢ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܘܝܢܢ ܗܘ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ
bnynsh' klhwn mn hw dwynn bmshykh' msbrynn blkhwd khy' hw bhlyn w'n
If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.

ܗܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܩܡ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܘܗܘܐ ܪܫܝܬܐ ܕܕܡܟܐ
ddmk' rshyth' whw' myth' byth mn qm mshykh' dyn hsh'
But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruits of those who are asleep.

ܘܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܒܝܕ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܘܬܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܒܝܕ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܗܘܝܐ ܚܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ
myth' khyth hwy' brnsh' byd 'p hkn' mwth' hw' brnsh' dbyd w'ykn'
For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man.

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܒܐܕܡ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܡܝܬܝܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܚܐܝܢ
kh'yn klhwn bmshykh' 'p hkn' mythyn bnynsh' klhwn db'dm gyr 'ykn'
For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

ܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܒܛܟܣܗ ܪܫܝܬܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܬܪܟܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܡܐܬܝܬܗ
bm'thythh 'nwn ddmshykh' 'ylyn bthrkn mshykh' hw' rshyth' bTksh 'nsh 'nsh
But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ’s, at his coming.

ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܬܗܘܐ ܚܪܬܐ ܡܐ ܕܡܫܠܡ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܐ ܡܐ ܕܒܛܠ ܟܠ ܪܝܫ ܘܟܠ ܫܘܠܛܢ ܘܟܠ ܚܝܠܝܢ
khylyn wkl shwlTn wkl rysh kl dbTl m' 'b' l'lh' mlkwth' dmshlm m' khrth' thhw' whydyn
Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.

ܥܬܝܕ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܕܢܡܠܟ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܣܝܡ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܘܗܝ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܬܚܝܬ ܪܓܠܘܗܝ
rglwhy thkhyth klhwn beldbbwhy dnsym edm' dnmlk gyr hw ethyd
For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

ܘܐܚܪܝܐ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܡܬܒܛܠ ܡܘܬܐ
mwth' mthbTl beldbb' w'khry'
The last enemy that will be abolished is death.
27
ܟܠ ܓܝܪ ܫܥܒܕ ܬܚܝܬ ܪܓܠܘܗܝ ܡܐ ܕܐܡܪ ܕܝܢ ܕܟܠܡܕܡ ܡܫܬܥܒܕ ܠܗ ܝܕܝܥܐ ܕܣܛܪ ܡܢ ܗܘ ܕܫܥܒܕ ܠܗ ܟܠ
kl lh dshebd hw mn dsTr ydye' lh mshthebd dklmdm dyn d'mr m' rglwhy thkhyth shebd gyr kl
For, “He put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when he says, “All things are put in subjection”, it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him.

ܘܡܐ ܕܐܫܬܥܒܕ ܠܗ ܟܠ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܗܘ ܒܪܐ ܢܫܬܥܒܕ ܠܗܘ ܕܫܥܒܕ ܠܗ ܟܠ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܟܠ ܒܟܠ
bkl kl 'lh' dnhw' kl lh dshebd lhw nshthebd br' hw hydyn kl lh d'shthebd wm'
When all things have been subjected to him, then the Son will also himself be subjected to him who subjected all things to him, that God may be all in all.

ܘܐܠܐ ܡܢܐ ܢܥܒܕܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܥܡܕܝܢ ܚܠܦ ܡܝܬܐ ܐܢ ܡܝܬܐ ܠܐ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܡܢܐ ܥܡܕܝܢ ܚܠܦ ܡܝܬܐ
myth' khlp emdyn mn' qymyn l' myth' 'n myth' khlp demdyn hnwn nebdwn mn' w'l'
Or else what will they do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead aren’t raised at all, why then are they baptized for the dead?

ܘܠܡܢܐ ܐܦ ܚܢܢ ܒܟܠ ܫܥܐ ܒܩܢܕܝܢܘܣ ܩܝܡܝܢܢ

Why do we also stand in jeopardy every hour?

ܝܡܐ ܐܢܐ ܒܫܘܒܗܪܟܘܢ ܐܚܝ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܝ ܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܟܠܝܘܡ ܡܐܬ ܐܢܐ
'n' m'th dklywm mshykh' yshwe bmrn ly d'yth 'khy bshwbhrkwn 'n' ym'
I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

ܐܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܝܬ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܐܫܬܕܝܬ ܠܚܝܘܬܐ ܒܐܦܣܘܣ ܡܢܐ ܐܬܗܢܝܬ ܐܢ ܡܝܬܐ ܠܐ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܢܐܟܘܠ ܘܢܫܬܐ ܡܚܪ ܓܝܪ ܡܝܬܝܢܢ
mythynn gyr mkhr wnshth' n'kwl qymyn l' myth' 'n 'thhnyth mn' b'psws lkhywth' 'shthdyth bnynsh' dbyth 'yk 'n
If I fought with animals at Ephesus for human purposes, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, then “let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.”

ܠܐ ܬܛܥܘܢ ܡܚܒܠܢ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܒܣܝܡܐ ܫܘܥܝܬܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ
byshth' shweyth' bsym' reyn' mkhbln thTewn l'
Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”

ܐܥܝܪܘ ܠܒܟܘܢ ܙܕܝܩܐܝܬ ܘܠܐ ܬܚܛܘܢ ܐܝܬ ܓܝܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܕܝܕܥܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܝܬ ܒܗܘܢ ܠܒܗܬܬܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ
'n' 'mr hw lbhththkwn bhwn lyth d'lh' dydeth' 'nsh' gyr 'yth thkhTwn wl' zdyq'yth lbkwn 'eyrw
Wake up righteously, and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

ܢܐܡܪ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܕܐܝܟܢܐ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܡܝܬܐ ܘܒܐܝܢܐ ܦܓܪܐ ܐܬܝܢ
'thyn pgr' wb'yn' myth' qymyn d'ykn' mnkwn 'nsh n'mr
But someone will say, “How are the dead raised?” and, “With what kind of body do they come?”

ܣܟܠܐ ܙܪܥܐ ܕܙܪܥ ܐܢܬ ܐܢ ܠܐ ܡܐܬ ܠܐ ܚܝܐ
khy' l' m'th l' 'n 'nth dzre zre' skl'
You foolish one, that which you yourself sow is not made alive unless it dies.

ܘܗܘ ܡܕܡ ܕܙܪܥ ܐܢܬ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܗܘ ܦܓܪܐ ܕܥܬܝܕ ܠܡܗܘܐ ܙܪܥ ܐܢܬ ܐܠܐ ܦܪܕܬܐ ܥܪܛܠܝܬܐ ܕܚܛܐ ܐܘ ܕܣܥܪܐ ܐܘ ܕܫܪܟܐ ܕܙܪܥܘܢܐ
dzrewn' dshrk' 'w dser' 'w dkhT' erTlyth' prdth' 'l' 'nth zre lmhw' dethyd pgr' hw hw' l' 'nth dzre mdm whw
That which you sow, you don’t sow the body that will be, but a bare grain, maybe of wheat, or of some other kind.

ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܦܓܪܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܨܒܐ ܘܠܚܕ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܙܪܥܘܢܐ ܦܓܪܐ ܕܟܝܢܗ
dkynh pgr' zrewn' mn khd wlkhd dtsb' 'ykn' pgr' lh yhb dyn 'lh'
But God gives it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.

ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܟܠ ܦܓܪ ܫܘܐ ܐܚܪܝܢ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܦܓܪܐ ܕܒܪ ܐܢܫܐ ܘܐܚܪܝܢ ܕܒܥܝܪܐ ܘܐܚܪܝܢ ܕܦܪܚܬܐ ܘܐܚܪܝܢ ܕܢܘܢܐ
dnwn' w'khryn dprkhth' w'khryn dbeyr' w'khryn 'nsh' dbr pgr' gyr hw 'khryn shw' pgr kl dyn hw' l'
All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.

ܘܐܝܬ ܦܓܪܐ ܫܡܝܢܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܦܓܪܐ ܐܪܥܢܝܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܚܪܝܢ ܗܘ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܫܡܝܢܐ ܘܐܚܪܝܢ ܕܐܪܥܢܝܐ
d'reny' w'khryn dshmyn' shwbkh' hw 'khryn 'l' 'reny' pgr' w'yth shmyn' pgr' w'yth
There are also celestial bodies, and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial differs from that of the terrestrial.

ܘܐܚܪܝܢ ܗܘ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܫܡܫܐ ܘܐܚܪܝܢ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܣܗܪܐ ܘܐܚܪܝܢ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܟܘܟܒܐ ܘܟܘܟܒܐ ܡܢ ܟܘܟܒܐ ܡܝܬܪ ܗܘ ܒܫܘܒܚܐ
bshwbkh' hw mythr kwkb' mn wkwkb' dkwkb' shwbkh' w'khryn dshr' shwbkh' w'khryn dshmsh' shwbkh' hw w'khryn
There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܚܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܡܙܕܪܥܝܢ ܒܚܒܠܐ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܚܒܠܐ
khbl' dl' qymyn bkhbl' mzdreyn myth' khyth 'p hkn'
So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown perishable; it is raised imperishable.

ܡܙܕܪܥܝܢ ܒܨܥܪܐ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܒܫܘܒܚܐ ܡܙܕܪܥܝܢ ܒܟܪܝܗܘܬܐ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܒܚܝܠܐ
bkhyl' qymyn bkryhwth' mzdreyn bshwbkh' qymyn btser' mzdreyn
It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.

ܡܙܕܪܥܝܢ ܦܓܪܐ ܢܦܫܢܝܐ ܩܐܡ ܦܓܪܐ ܪܘܚܢܝܐ ܐܝܬ ܓܝܪ ܦܓܪܐ ܕܢܦܫ ܘܐܝܬ ܦܓܪܐ ܕܪܘܚ
drwkh pgr' w'yth dnpsh pgr' gyr 'yth rwkhny' pgr' q'm npshny' pgr' mzdreyn
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is also a spiritual body.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܟܬܝܒ ܗܘܐ ܐܕܡ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܠܢܦܫ ܚܝܐ ܘܐܕܡ ܐܚܪܝܐ ܠܪܘܚܐ ܡܚܝܢܝܬܐ
mkhynyth' lrwkh' 'khry' w'dm khy' lnpsh qdmy' brnsh' 'dm hw' kthyb 'p hkn'
So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܪܘܚܢܝܐ ܐܠܐ ܢܦܫܢܝܐ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܪܘܚܢܝܐ
rwkhny' whydyn npshny' 'l' rwkhny' lwqdm hw' l' 'l'
However that which is spiritual isn’t first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual.

ܒܪܢܫܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܥܦܪܢܐ ܕܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܕܬܪܝܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ
shmy' mn mry' dthryn brnsh' 're' dmn eprn' qdmy' brnsh'
The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven.

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘ ܥܦܪܢܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܥܦܪܢܐ ܘܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘ ܕܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܫܡܝܢܐ
shmyn' 'p hkn' shmy' dmn hw d'ythwhy w'ykn' eprn' 'p hkn' eprn' hw d'ythwhy 'ykn'
As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

ܘܐܝܟ ܕܠܒܫܢ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܗܘ ܕܡܢ ܥܦܪܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܢܠܒܫ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܗܘ ܕܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ
shmy' dmn dhw dmwth' nlbsh hkn' epr' dmn dhw dmwth' dlbshn w'yk

ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܐܚܝ ܕܒܣܪܐ ܘܕܡܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܠܡܐܪܬ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܚܒܠܐ ܝܪܬ ܠܐ ܡܬܚܒܠܢܘܬܐ
mthkhblnwth' l' yrth khbl' wl' mshkkhyn l' lm'rth dshmy' mlkwth' wdm' dbsr' 'khy 'n' 'mr dyn hd'
Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can’t inherit God’s Kingdom; neither does the perishable inherit imperishable.

ܗܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܪܙܐ ܠܘ ܟܠܢ ܢܕܡܟ ܟܠܢ ܕܝܢ ܢܬܚܠܦ

Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,

ܚܪܝܦܐܝܬ ܐܝܟ ܪܦܦ ܥܝܢܐ ܒܩܪܢܐ ܐܚܪܝܬܐ ܟܕ ܬܩܪܐ ܘܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܡܝܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܚܒܠܐ ܘܚܢܢ ܢܬܚܠܦ
nthkhlp wkhnn khbl' dl' myth' wnqwmwn thqr' kd 'khryth' bqrn' eyn' rpp 'yk khryp'yth
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.

For this perishable body must become imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.

ܡܐ ܕܠܒܫ ܕܝܢ ܗܢܐ ܕܡܬܚܒܠ ܠܐ ܡܬܚܒܠܢܘܬܐ ܘܗܢܐ ܕܡܐܬ ܠܐ ܡܝܘܬܘܬܐ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܠܬܐ ܗܝ ܕܟܬܝܒܐ ܕܐܬܒܠܥ ܡܘܬܐ ܒܙܟܘܬܐ
bzkwth' mwth' d'thble dkthyb' hy mlth' thhw' hydyn mywthwth' l' dm'th whn' mthkhblnwth' l' dmthkhbl hn' dyn dlbsh m'
But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

ܐܝܟܘ ܥܘܩܣܟ ܡܘܬܐ ܐܘ ܐܝܟܐ ܗܝ ܙܟܘܬܟܝ ܫܝܘܠ

“Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?”

ܥܘܩܣܗ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܗܝ ܘܚܝܠܐ ܕܚܛܝܬܐ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܗܘ

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

ܛܝܒܘ ܕܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܢ ܙܟܘܬܐ ܒܝܕ ܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

ܡܟܝܠ ܐܚܝ ܘܚܒܝܒܝ ܗܘܘ ܡܫܪܪܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܡܬܙܝܥܝܢ ܐܠܐ ܗܘܘ ܡܬܝܬܪܝܢ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܒܥܒܕܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܟܕ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܥܡܠܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܣܪܝܩ ܒܡܪܝܐ

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
